What You'll Do8
- 1Evaluate diagnose and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries
- 2Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations
- 3Develop and implement treatment plans prescribe medications as appropriate
- 4Order and interpret laboratory tests X-rays EKGs and point-of-care testing
- 5Conduct urgent care procedures including suturing laceration repair splinting orthopedic injury management abscess incision and drainage wound care and minor procedures
- 6Educate patients regarding diagnoses treatment plans and follow-up care
- 7Document encounters accurately in the EMR collaborate with physicians medical assistants radiology staff and front office personnel
- 8Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team development
Requirements5
- 1Current Massachusetts NP or PA license
- 2Board certification as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- 3ACLS certification preferred
- 4Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
- 5Excellent communication interpersonal abilities
Salary Insight
$116 - $166k per year
