Overview
Own underground plumbing for new construction in Charlotte, NC. Operate a mini excavator, read plans, and pull precise measurements for PVC and PEX lines. Work with a small team on residential slabs and sewer/water lines. The role comes with a company truck and trailer, plus full benefits.
What You'll Do7
- 1Operate a mini excavator to dig trenches for sewer and water lines on new construction sites.
- 2Install slab plumbing and run PVC and PEX lines with precision, using copper and iron when specified.
- 3Read blueprints and site plans to pull accurate measurements for pipe routing and connections.
- 4Coordinate with utility locates to avoid underground hazards and safely dig around existing lines.
- 5Tow a trailer with excavating equipment to and from job sites using the provided company truck.
- 6Troubleshoot and fix installation issues on the fly, ensuring code compliance and watertight connections.
- 7Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and company procedures.
Requirements7
- 1Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company truck with a trailer.
- 21+ years operating a mini excavator in a construction or plumbing setting.
- 3Proven knowledge of utility locates and safe digging practices around underground lines.
- 4Hands-on experience with PVC and PEX pipe installation, plus basic knowledge of copper and iron.
- 5Ability to read construction plans and pull measurements accurately.
- 6Reliable transportation to Charlotte, NC 28269 and willingness to relocate before starting.
- 7Full-time availability with the ability to work onsite in Charlotte, NC.
Salary Insight
