What You'll Do11
- 1Patrol assigned property to prevent crime and enforce laws and business policies
- 2Prevent observe report and act on conditions of crime and danger
- 3Check buildings for security and monitor structures people and vehicles for suspicious activity
- 4Make arrests as appropriate and provide testimony in court
- 5Prepare reports and records related to arrests incidents and daily activity
- 6Deliver excellent internal and external customer service
- 7Create positive experiences through professional courteous behavior and creative problem solving
- 8Develop safe work habits and follow safety policies procedures and techniques
- 9Contribute to safety of self co‑workers and the public
- 10Participate in ongoing training and adhere to employee handbook standards
- 11Support diversity in the workplace
Requirements12
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Age 18 United States citizen
- 3Obtain PERC license within 30 days of employment
- 4Valid driver’s license meeting department insurance requirements
- 5No felony or misdemeanor convictions that could impair service
- 6Ability to apply criminal justice and crime prevention techniques
- 7Knowledge of reading laws orders and using departmental force techniques
- 8Strong composure under stress and ability to calm others during rapid changes
- 9Multitasking skills with conflicting events
- 10Computer proficiency for scheduling reporting and other duties
- 11Excellent communication abilities for collaboration
- 12Physical stamina for standing walking sitting and occasional heavy lifting
