Overview
You will secure premises and protect personnel across a Chicago property, patrolling on foot and monitoring CCTV systems. What You'll Do10
- 1Patrol assigned areas on foot and via vehicle to deter and detect security breaches.
- 2Monitor CCTV feeds and access control systems to identify suspicious activity.
- 3Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure doors, windows, and locks are secure.
- 4Respond to alarms and emergencies by sounding alerts, contacting dispatch, and directing first responders.
- 5Prevent loss and damage by confronting violators, enforcing property policies, and documenting trespassing incidents.
- 6Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic by directing drivers and maintaining order in parking areas and entry points.
- 7Document all incidents and observations in detailed shift reports using mobile patrol apps and paper logs.
- 8Monitor building systems such as HVAC and fire alarms, reporting malfunctions to maintenance.
- 9Assist with preventive maintenance by flagging equipment hazards and recommending security upgrades.
- 10Maintain a professional appearance and strict adherence to uniform and decorum standards.
Requirements10
- 11+ year experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
- 2Valid Illinois security officer license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Demonstrated ability to patrol for 8-hour shifts, including stairs and outdoor weather.
- 5Working knowledge of mobile patrol apps and CCTV systems.
- 6Strong verbal and written communication skills for reports and incident documentation.
- 7Ability to de-escalate confrontational situations while following legal protocols.
- 8Reliable transportation to and from the Chicago site.
- 9Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- 10Professional appearance with a neat and clean uniform at all times.
