What You'll Do8
- 1Launch and recover aircraft for commercial UAS missions, executing standardized procedures to keep flights on schedule.
- 2Perform operational readiness inspections and checklists on UAS equipment, catching issues before they affect missions.
- 3Manage battery charging, inventory, and maintenance of UAS power systems, ensuring every flight has reliable energy.
- 4Stage aircraft and field gear for daily operations, coordinating logistics to minimize downtime between sorties.
- 5Support site safety protocols, from pre-flight briefs to hazard monitoring, keeping every operation compliant.
- 6Record operational data and post-flight reports, tracking performance metrics that drive continuous improvement.
- 7Monitor airspace and provide visual observation during flights, serving as the eyes on the ground for remote pilots.
- 8Coordinate field logistics, from permits to equipment transport, enabling seamless execution of drone operations.
Requirements7
- 11-3 years in drone operations, aviation, logistics, or technical field environments, with hands-on equipment handling.
- 2Strong attention to detail and safety awareness, proven through consistent adherence to standardized procedures.
- 3Proficiency in following Step-by-Step operational procedures and checklists in fast-paced field conditions.
- 4Experience supporting commercial UAS operations is preferred, with familiarity in launch and recovery processes.
- 5FAA Part 107 certification is a plus but not required, demonstrating foundational aviation knowledge.
- 6Comfort working outdoors in varied weather and terrain, as field operations demand physical readiness.
- 7Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during shift operations.
