Facility Maintenance Mechanic responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of material handling equipment and building infrastructure at Albertsons Safeway location in Portland OR.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform preventive maintenance and repair on forklifts pallet jacks and conveyor systems
- 2Maintain building infrastructure including pallet racking overhead doors HVAC lighting and electrical equipment
- 3Repair industrial equipment such as sweepers scrubbers bailers pallet sorters dock levelers carts cranes dollies and other warehouse machinery
- 4Service ammonia refrigeration compressors and industrial batteries to maximize lifecycle and operation
- 5Conduct scheduled equipment and infrastructure inspections to identify potential failure points
- 6Troubleshoot and repair complex issues using advanced technical skills and techniques
- 7Independently execute maintenance tasks and collaborate with team members to ensure safe efficient operations
- 8Manage work orders adjust assignments and prioritize tasks to meet production goals
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience with material handling equipment and building systems
- 2Proficiency with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
- 3Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical tasks requiring bending stooping reaching twisting
- 4Strong manual dexterity coordination and balance for repetitive motions
- 5Experience operating power tools forklifts pallet jacks scissor lifts sweepers scrubbers and diagnostic equipment
- 6Knowledge of safety protocols for hazardous materials and equipment operation
- 7Familiarity with inventory management systems parts requisition procedures
