Forklift Mechanic
Overview
Support maintenance repairs and inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role focuses on troubleshooting rebuilding and maintaining propane and diesel engines while ensuring compliance with safety standards. What You'll Do8
- 1Troubleshoot repairs and rebuild propane and diesel forklift engines
- 2Diagnose failures and maintain all systems and parts associated with forklifts
- 3Use hydraulic jacks to access underside components for maintenance
- 4Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues
- 5Perform routine maintenance including oil changes lubrication filter replacement and battery care
- 6Monitor and manage parts inventory levels for maintenance needs
- 7Provide daily support to leadership and team members upon hire
- 8Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to forklift operations
Requirements9
- 1Minimum age 18 years
- 2High school diploma or GED
- 3Authorized to work in United States
- 4Read write and communicate effectively in English
- 5Physical ability to stand walk bend stoop kneel crouch climb and lift up to 100 pounds
- 6Strong attention to detail for reading gauges manuals and performing inspections
- 7Bold 5+ years experience with forklift mechanics
- 8Bold proficiency in diagnostic software
- 9Bold bold experience range 2 years preferred
