What You'll Do9
- 1Collect samples and perform laboratory tests to monitor water quality
- 2Remove and manage sludge according to environmental regulations
- 3Inspect and adjust equipment to maintain operational efficiency
- 4Maintain accurate records of plant activities and compliance documentation
- 5Perform the duties of the Treatment Plant Operator Chief when required
- 6Train and supervise operators with varying experience levels
- 7Analyze plant performance using reports and data analysis
- 8Conduct regular conferences to discuss operational challenges
- 9Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards
Requirements8
- 1Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate with five years experience operating a wastewater treatment plant
- 2Valid Florida Driver's License
- 3Current Florida Wastewater Operator certificate with A or B level certification
- 4Florida GOAA security badge
- 5Passage of city wastewater aptitude test and respirator physical exam
- 6Ability to pass annual medical screenings and background checks
- 7Leadership experience preferred
- 8Minimum of nine years direct experience for doctoral degree eligibility
