Traveling Superintendent - Waterproofing & Exteriors
Overview
We seek a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations for multifamily redevelopment projects across the nation. The ideal candidate will oversee exterior renovations waterproofing and building envelope improvements while ensuring safety quality and schedule adherence.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead all onsite construction activities related to exterior renovations waterproofing and building envelope improvements
- 2Manage subcontractors vendors and field personnel performing window replacement door replacement siding installation flashing weather barriers sealants and facade improvements
- 3Oversee project schedules critical path activities material deliveries and three-week look-ahead planning
- 4Conduct quality control inspections to ensure building envelope systems meet manufacturer specifications and project requirements
- 5Identify and resolve field issues involving water intrusion moisture management exterior detailing flashing transitions and weatherproofing systems
- 6Maintain project safety standards through toolbox talks OSHA compliance jobsite inspections and proactive risk mitigation
- 7Coordinate inspections punch list completion owner turnover and closeout activities
- 8Monitor project costs support change management efforts and collaborate with Project Managers throughout execution
- 9Prepare daily reports site documentation progress updates and stakeholder communications
- 10Build strong relationships with clients consultants subcontractors and suppliers
- 11Travel extensively throughout the United States to execute projects
Requirements8
- 110+ years of construction field experience
- 23+ years of Superintendent experience managing multifamily redevelopment exterior renovation restoration or building envelope projects
- 3Strong experience with waterproofing systems windows exterior doors siding flashing air barriers weather barriers and exterior finishes
- 4Proficiency in reading construction drawings shop drawings specifications and manufacturer installation requirements
- 5Deep understanding of water intrusion prevention moisture management and building envelope best practices
- 6Ability to manage subcontractors schedules safety programs and field operations
- 7Willingness to travel extensively across the country
- 8OSHA 30 certification preferred
