Overview
Own 1:1 care for a high school student with Diabetes Insipidus in Framingham, MA. You'll manage fluid intake, medication, and daily safety, collaborating with teachers and school staff. Full-time travel assignment, August 26 to June 15, with hours 8:30am-3pm (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) and 8:30am-2pm (Wed). You bring your RN license and school nursing background. In return, you get travel stipends, premium pay, and the stability of a full-year contract.
What You'll Do6
- 1Monitor and manage fluid intake for a student with Diabetes Insipidus throughout the school day.
- 2Administer mid-day medication and observe for symptoms of sodium imbalance.
- 3Assist with ambulation and restroom use, supporting a wheelchair-dependent student who independently toilets.
- 4Collaborate with teachers and educational specialists to maintain a safe learning environment.
- 5Document care and communicate daily updates with the school health team.
- 6Adapt to a dynamic high school setting, ensuring the student's well-being during all activities.
Requirements6
- 1Current, active RN license/certification.
- 2Previous school-based nursing experience (required).
- 3Reliable transportation for onsite work.
- 4Ability to work designated hours: 8:30am-3pm (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) and 8:30am-2pm (Wed).
- 5Commitment to a full school year, August 26–June 15.
