Direct and plan all transportation activities for Souto Foods Transportation in Atlanta, GA, overseeing 20-30 drivers and dispatching 75-100 routes weekly. You will own the annual budget and 5-year transportation plan, ensuring cost control and timely deliveries. Coordinate with on-site and off-site vendors, and communicate across the enterprise and with customers. What You'll Do10

• 1Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with corporate metrics, focusing on route efficiency and cost reduction.
• 2Ensure driver and department compliance with Souto, MDI, and DOT regulations to minimize exposure.
• 3Achieve or beat budgeted goals and KPIs by managing expenses and monitoring driver productivity.
• 4Build efficient driver schedules and maintain proper staffing levels to meet all customer delivery needs.
• 5Recruit and hire qualified drivers, coordinating bid processes and evaluating route workloads.
• 6Direct delivery scheduling for retail customers, working with the routing department to maximize load capacity without sacrificing service.
• 7Develop and execute seamless cross dock activities with the Fleet Director on equipment decisions.
• 8Promote a customer service culture by handling delivery issues and responding to changing customer requirements.
• 9Work with the Transportation Safety Supervisor to promote safety, including Drive Cam video review and coaching.
• 10Ensure Food Safety Modernization Act compliance in trailer maintenance, cleanliness, and temperature control.
