Training Coordinator (Manufacturing)
Overview
Own the design and delivery of Standard Work Instructions and Job Instruction Training programs for 200+ hourly associates at a food manufacturing plant. Partner with Operations, Safety, FSQA, and HR leaders to close skill gaps and improve operational outcomes. Manage the full training lifecycle from needs assessment to certification and measurement. Lead Train-the-Trainer certification and build learning content that reduces errors and boosts productivity.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and implement Standard Work Instructions and Job Instruction Training frameworks for manufacturing associates.
- 2Collaborate with Operations, Safety, FSQA, HR, and Production teams to identify training needs and skill gaps.
- 3Design learning solutions using needs assessments, employee surveys, focus groups, and direct workplace observation.
- 4Facilitate Train-the-Trainer certification programs and ensure instructor readiness.
- 5Create engaging training materials and curriculum to support workforce development.
- 6Schedule and coordinate training activities with production leadership to minimize disruption.
- 7Measure training effectiveness using employee feedback and performance metrics.
- 8Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
- 9Conduct regular meetings with management to identify development opportunities.
Requirements8
- 13+ years developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs, preferably in manufacturing.
- 2Proven experience creating and delivering workforce training solutions.
- 3Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels.
- 4Experience with a Learning Management System such as Cornerstone or Workday.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel.
- 6Preferred: experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments.
- 7Preferred: multilingual abilities (Spanish or other).
- 8Preferred: experience creating Standard Work Instructions.
