Training Coordinator, Home Care & Community Outreach
Overview
You will own training for a caregiver team serving aging adults, the injured, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Training Coordinator role in Long Beach office. You'll run onboarding and ongoing sessions, check skill competency in-home and in skills lab, and report compliance. Also build community ties with referral sources and workforce agencies. Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm, onsite, not remote.
What You'll Do10
- 1Deliver orientation and ongoing training for new and existing care providers, covering CPR, First Aid, and Safety protocols.
- 2Ensure orientation documents meet company and HIPAA compliance standards.
- 3Track and report training compliance for all care providers using Excel and internal systems.
- 4Assess new caregiver skill competency through in-home visits and skills lab sessions.
- 5Document training activities and communications per company guidelines.
- 6Lead in-home provider skills training as requested, focusing on ADLs and Behavioral Support.
- 7Collaborate with quality department to identify training gaps for new hires.
- 8Build relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and workforce agencies.
- 9Attend community meetings and represent Cambrian at career fairs and networking events.
- 10Use feedback from caregivers and community to adjust training content.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 22+ years in training or healthcare education.
- 31+ year experience in home care or healthcare training.
- 4Fluency in English and Spanish.
- 5Strong presentation skills with ability to engage adult learners.
- 6Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple training schedules.
- 7Physical ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
- 8Experience with developmentally disabled or senior populations preferred.
- 9CPR and First Aid certification required.
- 10US work authorization and pass background check.
