What You'll Do8
- 1Set up and dismantle traffic control equipment including cones, signs, and barricades at active job sites.
- 2Guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle while monitoring traffic and site activity for hazards.
- 3Follow all safety rules from training; stay alert around moving traffic and enforce work zone safety.
- 4Communicate with crew members and the supervisor to coordinate traffic flow and site operations.
- 5Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment to keep them clean, safe, and functional.
- 6Work outdoors in all weather conditions; stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
- 7Adapt to changing shift schedules including nights, weekends, or emergency call-outs as needed.
- 8Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety goggles, vest, whistle, and walkie talkie.

- 1Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in Sacramento.
- 2Able to stand, walk, and work outside for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts).
- 3Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and perform physical tasks like carrying signs and cones.
- 4Willing to work in traffic and changing weather conditions, including rain, heat, or cold.
- 5Flexible schedule; show up on time for every shift, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
- 6Pass pre-hire screening including a drug test (safety-sensitive position).
- 7Stay alert and follow all safety rules at all times; treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.
