What You'll Do6

  • 1Diagnose and repair electric, battery-powered, and pneumatic power tools, including Makita, DeWalt, and Milwaukee models.
  • 2Disassemble tools to identify worn or defective parts, then replace components such as switches, brushes, wiring, bearings, and seals.
  • 3Clean, lubricate, and adjust tools to ensure proper operation, using service manuals and parts diagrams as reference.
  • 4Test tools after repair to confirm proper function, including speed, torque, and safety features.
  • 5Record repairs performed, parts used, and labor time in the shop management system.
  • 6Maintain a clean and organized shop area, following safety protocols and tool storage procedures.

Requirements6

  • 12+ years repairing electric or pneumatic power tools, including disassembly and component-level troubleshooting.
  • 2Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability to isolate and fix faults in gears, motors, and triggers.
  • 3Ability to read service manuals and parts diagrams to identify correct replacement parts.
  • 4Detail oriented with the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • 5High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs and stand for extended periods in a shop/warehouse environment.
