Overview

You will use proper safety equipment and procedures, and your work will be reviewed for quality. What You'll Do9

  • 1Assist mechanics with repair work on light- and heavy-duty vehicles, including diagnosing issues and performing repairs under supervision.
  • 2Perform scheduled preventative maintenance services, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, on various equipment.
  • 3Clean and maintain the shop area, including organizing tools, parts, and equipment.
  • 4Operate and maintain shop equipment, such as lifts, compressors, and diagnostic tools, following safety protocols.
  • 5Complete minor shop repairs, including replacing air hoses, crushing oil filters, repairing portable coolers, and fixing miscellaneous shop equipment.
  • 6Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software.
  • 7Communicate with supervisors and mechanics about repair needs and progress, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • 8Adhere to all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, promoting a safe work environment.
  • 9Drive vehicles to and from work areas and test drive after repairs to ensure proper function.

Requirements8

  • 16+ months of full-time experience servicing and repairing motorized equipment.
  • 2Must provide own basic hand tools and rollaway box within one year of hire or promotion date.
  • 3Must possess a valid Class D Arizona Driver's License by hire or promotion date.
  • 4Pass pre-employment substance abuse testing due to safety/security sensitive nature of the role.
  • 51+ years of experience in semi-skilled work in an equipment repair shop or automotive garage (preferred).
  • 6Experience assisting mechanics with automotive or truck repairs and completing preventative maintenance tasks (preferred).
  • 7Knowledge and ability to safely complete minor shop repairs such as air hose replacement, oil filter crushing, and portable cooler repair (preferred).
  • 8Formal educational classes in automotive/truck technology and repairs (highly desirable).
