What You'll Do9
- 1Collaborate with your co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
- 2Keep parents informed by posting updates on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
- 3Provide a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
- 4Encourage children's participation with age-appropriate interactive activities.
- 5Maintain classroom cleanliness: wipe toys, clean tables, vacuum, sanitize after children leave, manage bathrooms and trash, and prep for the next morning.
- 6Engage with students during free play, outdoor time, bathroom and diapering, snacks and meals, and naptime.
- 7Adhere to structured schedules and track children's progress with assessments.
- 8Maintain EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
- 9Attend monthly staff meetings and build positive relationships with students and parents.
Requirements7
- 1EEC Teacher Infant Toddler and Preschool Certification or CDA (preferred, not required).
- 2Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public-school setting.
- 3An energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude.
- 4Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team-focused mindset.
- 5Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within operating hours, including opening and closing shifts.
- 6Ability to spend extended periods on the floor with children, stand up to 90% of the workday, and lift up to 50lbs.
- 7Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills.
