Title Insurance Agent, Michigan Licensing & Real Estate
Overview
You will own title insurance operations end-to-end at Primary Title Agency, handling closings across multiple underwriting relationships. You will join a team of 3 underwriters in a remote-first environment, using RON and IPEN technology to close deals from anywhere. What You'll Do8
- 1Manage title order workflow from search through closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance for each transaction.
- 2Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys to gather requirements and clear title issues.
- 3Prepare closing documents, including title commitments, policies, and settlement statements using industry software.
- 4Facilitate remote online notarization (RON) and in-person electronic notarization (IPEN) closings for clients.
- 5Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Michigan title laws and underwriting guidelines to mitigate risk.
- 6Communicate proactively with all parties, providing status updates and resolving discrepancies.
- 7Support team members with administrative tasks and assist in training new hires.
- 8Achieve assigned production quotas while maintaining high customer satisfaction and quality standards.
Requirements8
- 12 years of title insurance experience in the Michigan real estate market.
- 2Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
- 3High level of comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and title production software.
- 4Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- 5A self-starter who works independently and also thrives in a collaborative team setting.
- 6Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and willingness to follow direction.
- 7Current Michigan Title Producer License or willingness to obtain one within the first 90 days.
- 8Experience with RON or IPEN closings is a plus.
