Overview
Venus Aerospace seeks a bold Test Operator to lead propulsion and systems testing for revolutionary rocket engines. You will coordinate test campaigns and drive continuous improvements in test execution across aerospace applications.
What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate and execute test campaigns including propulsion hot fires and structural testing
- 2Operate and monitor test stand systems and instrumentation
- 3Lead test procedure development and analysis of performance data
- 4Collaborate with technicians to troubleshoot instrumentation issues
- 5Support setup and maintenance of test stands for future campaigns
- 6Act as liaison between test propulsion and manufacturing teams
- 7Perform basic instrumentation tasks such as wiring and soldering
- 8Read and follow engineering instructions independently
- 9Maintain clear communication using over-the-air communication devices
- 10Thrive in collaborative team environments and as a self-driven individual
- 11Work outdoors and lift up to 25 lbs
Requirements12
- 11-3 years hardware testing experience nationally recognized rocket club qualifies
- 2Hands-on knowledge of valves and pneumatic actuators
- 3Ability to read P&IDs and understand gas fluid flow
- 4Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- 5Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- 6Experience with lab equipment like LabVIEW and Python
- 7Familiarity with Confluence or Jira
- 8Experience with NI hardware PXIe cRIO cDAQ
- 9Design and commissioning test facilities
- 10Experience with LabVIEW and Vizio
- 11Knowledge of python or MATLAB
