Test Driver, Automotive QA & Field Evaluation
Overview
Own the execution of full vehicle evaluations on pre-production vehicles on public roads for a tier one automotive program. Work in small groups across designated routes for long shifts while ensuring safety and documenting findings. Partner with peers to capture powertrain, build quality, and system design issues during each drive cycle. This role blends hands-on driving with detailed reporting in a collaborative team environment.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and execute full vehicle evaluations during each shift
- 2Drive in designated routes for 8 10 hour shifts while performing test procedures
- 3Participate in all vehicle testing including foreign specification vehicles and special tests
- 4Operate vehicles safely obeying all traffic laws and maintain safety procedures
- 5Accurately document and report detailed findings verbally and written on reporting forms
Requirements5
- 1Possess a valid USA driver’s license for 9+ years with no points or major citations in the past 3 years
- 2Able to pass background check drug screening and driving tests and read maps
- 3Lift at least 25 pounds and be able to travel outside state limits
- 4Availability of 2 5 days per week Monday - Friday
- 5Ability to drive prolonged periods from 8 miles to 600 miles per shift
