Test Conductor - Vehicle Readiness & Testing
Overview
This role owns the end-to-end execution of vehicle-level tests at TRC Inc., ensuring test objectives are met. You will lead a team of operators and assistants, troubleshoot issues, and analyze data to validate system performance. Working closely with engineers and researchers, you will refine test plans and report results. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead a team of vehicle operators and test assistants to execute field tests safely, achieving test objectives.
- 2Develop test plans and procedures based on customer needs and the processes involved.
- 3Analyze test and scenario data after completion, identifying strengths and weaknesses.
- 4Program and operate Guided Soft Targets and other collision avoidance test equipment.
- 5Debug hardware, software, car, and test execution issues, escalating as needed.
- 6Communicate test progress and status to stakeholders.
- 7Escalate all safety concerns immediately.
- 8Build automation scripts to reduce schedule time and resources for recurring tests.
- 9Create and maintain dashboards to display results and status.
- 10Present concise test reports to internal and external customers.
Requirements10
- 11+ years as a Test Conductor 1, with 2+ years of technical testing and system validation experience preferred.
- 2High-level analysis of testing data and ability to setup test equipment, understanding basic vehicle circuits.
- 3Strong debugging skills, mechanical understanding of actuators/sensors, and ability to build terminal commands.
- 4Knowledge of autonomous sensors and basic vehicle systems.
- 5Understanding of data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
- 6Familiarity with vehicle systems and subsystems.
- 7Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- 8Proficiency in G-suite programs, basic script writing, and data analysis software.
- 9Skilled in technical report writing and project management.
- 10Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
