Teller - Edgewood
Overview
You will own the member experience at the Edgewood branch, processing cash transactions and cross-selling APGFCU products to 2,000+ active members. You will join a close-knit team of 5 tellers and a branch manager, all focused on personalized service. Daily tasks include cash handling, check cashing, and loan payments, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and security. What You'll Do8
- 1Process member transactions including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, bond redemptions, loan payments, and cash advances using Meridian software.
- 2Balance your cash drawer daily, verifying all transactions and following Teller Performance Standards to maintain accuracy within authority limits.
- 3Identify member needs and cross-sell APGFCU products such as savings accounts, certificates, and credit cards.
- 4Set up cash machines and supplies each morning, ensuring readiness for daily operations.
- 5Protect member data and detect counterfeit bills, fraudulent checks, and signs of elder abuse.
- 6Assist with branch settlement, including night deposits, ATM reconciliation, and end-of-day verification.
- 7Complete required training on Bank Secrecy Act and Information Security policies.
- 8Work flexible hours, including Saturdays, and travel to other branch locations as needed.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 26+ months customer service experience required; 6+ months cash handling preferred.
- 3Basic knowledge of financial institution procedures, debits and credits.
- 4Proficiency with personal computers, software applications, and business office equipment.
- 5Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral communication skills.
- 6Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment.
- 7Comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds and handling cash for extended periods.
