Technician, Arcade & Bowling Maintenance
Overview
You own the uptime of every game and attraction at Main Event Detroit, keeping arcade games, pinsetters, and tellers running safely and reliably. You report to the Facilities Manager and work alongside a crew of 5-10 technicians and event staff. You get paid on-the-job training and a clear path to Technician Trainer, while keeping the fun alive for thousands of guests weekly.
What You'll Do10
- 1Perform electrical, mechanical, and technical repairs on arcade games, pinsetters, and tellers.
- 2Troubleshoot and fix game and attraction faults, replacing parts like bearings, coils, and wiring.
- 3Disassemble and reassemble mechanical and electrical components to restore full function.
- 4Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies, ordering replacements as needed.
- 5Keep the mechanic shop and facility organized and clean, following OSHA safety standards.
- 6Uphold Main Event's cleanliness and safety protocols, using PPE when required.
- 7Welcome and engage guests as a FUN ambassador while working on the floor.
- 8Document all maintenance work in the CMMS system and track repair histories.
- 9Support preventive maintenance schedules for bowling equipment and arcade games.
- 10Assist with new center openings and special events, ensuring all attractions are guest-ready.
Requirements8
- 118+ years old, with a guest-focused mindset and teamwork attitude.
- 21+ year hands-on repair experience with automated bowling equipment and arcade games.
- 3Practical knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics for equipment repair.
- 4Proficient with hand tools and able to work on ladders and lift 250 lbs.
- 5Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices, with ability to wear PPE.
- 6Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills for a busy entertainment center.
- 7Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- 8Effective communication with management, team members, and guests.
