Technical Project Manager, AWS Migration Healthcare
Overview
Own the full lifecycle of a large-scale AWS migration for a major Massachusetts healthcare organization. You will lead the transfer of critical Health Safety Net (HSN) systems to AWS, coordinating across business, technical, and vendor teams. This 12-month contract in Quincy, MA requires strong IT project management and cloud migration expertise. You will drive governance, vendor performance, and delivery across all phases, from discovery to operational readiness. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead the AWS migration program for healthcare systems, covering discovery, design, build, migration, testing, training, and operational readiness.
- 2Establish and maintain project governance, status reporting, issue management, and risk mitigation using Jira and Microsoft Project.
- 3Ensure compliance with organizational IT, security, and change management standards throughout the migration.
- 4Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and steering committee updates, presenting to executives with Microsoft Teams.
- 5Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation across multiple technical teams and vendors.
- 6Oversee vendor performance and contract activities, driving accountability and strong relationships.
- 7Develop and maintain integrated roadmaps, work breakdown structures, timelines, and budgets.
- 8Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to keep the migration on track.
- 9Maintain project documentation, repositories, and version control for audit readiness.
- 10Enforce change control processes and support business continuity and operational readiness.
Requirements10
- 15+ years leading complex IT projects with full accountability for scope, budget, and schedule.
- 2Proven experience managing projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 3Experience leading AWS cloud migration initiatives or similar cloud transformation projects.
- 4Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud migration strategies.
- 5Understanding of testing methodologies including functional, system, integration, performance, UAT, and security testing.
- 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Jira, and Microsoft Teams.
- 7Exceptional organizational and project planning skills.
- 8Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills for executive communication.
- 9Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- 10Ability to work onsite in Quincy, MA several times per month.
