Technical Project Manager, AWS & Microservices
Overview
You lead end-to-end technology projects in AWS and Microservices environments. You work daily with engineering teams to break down complex technical work into actionable sprints. You drive cross-functional execution across product, engineering, and business teams. This role centers on removing blockers and keeping delivery predictable. You own the project lifecycle from kickoff to production release.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive project kickoffs by defining scope, milestones, and success metrics with engineering leads.
- 2Lead sprint planning and backlog grooming with Jira and Confluence to align team priorities.
- 3Coordinate dependencies across Microservices and API teams to ensure seamless integration.
- 4Track delivery risks and resolve blockers by working directly with engineers and architects.
- 5Report project status to stakeholders through dashboards and weekly executive updates.
- 6Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, retrospectives, and demos.
- 7Own the release plan for AWS infrastructure changes and new service deployments.
- 8Ensure quality gates by coordinating testing cycles with QA and DevOps teams.
Requirements7
- 15+ years managing technical projects in Agile environments.
- 23+ years hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- 3Strong background in Microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- 4Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- 5Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6Experience communicating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- 7Certification in PMP or Scrum Master preferred.
