Technical Project Manager - Advanced Technology Laboratory
Overview
Lead technical project management for Naval Special Warfare efforts focusing on high-frequency SONAR R&D. Oversee system design execution tracking budgets and validation against sponsor requirements. Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage administrative functions while identifying and acquiring new projects from DoD sponsors.
What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate with engineering teams to develop and execute system designs on schedule within budget and validated against sponsor requirements
- 2Track progress against critical development and testing events through regular coordination with engineering and supervisory chains
- 3Handle administrative project management tasks as needed based on project requirements
- 4Assist in identifying project needs and acquire funding from DoD sponsors
- 5Document and present technical materials to internal and external stakeholders
- 6Identify personnel resource needs interview and hire full-time engineering staff
- 7Maintain compliance with government security investigations for classified information access
- 8Prepare resumes and supporting materials for submission
- 9Submit required references and unofficial transcripts
- 10Upload additional materials via application questions section
- 11Select preferred qualifications and complete employment eligibility verification
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering computer engineering mechanical engineering software engineering engineering management or similar technical field
- 2Five years of project management experience
- 3Demonstrated experience developing and leading technical projects
- 4Three years of experience managing engineering teams
- 5Ability to document maintain and present technical information to stakeholders
- 6US citizenship with government security clearance eligibility
- 7Master’s degree in related field preferred
- 8At least five years of technical project management experience
- 9Experience with high-frequency SONAR or underwater sensor systems
- 10Prior military or defense system development experience
- 11Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition processes
- 12Experience working with classified information systems
