Team Member, Mediterranean Restaurant & Guest Service
Overview
You own the guest experience at CAVA, from greeting to assembly, at a high-volume Mediterranean restaurant in Austin, Texas. You join a five-person line crew and report to the Shift Leader, working in a fast, team-focused environment. You train in food safety and sanitation procedures. This role builds guest loyalty through genuine, positive service.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet guests and educate them on menu options, customizing orders to preferences.
- 2Assemble orders accurately and deliver a memorable dining experience.
- 3Maintain cleanliness of the serving line, dining room, and restrooms.
- 4Follow recipes and procedures to ensure food quality and consistency.
- 5Adhere to safety and sanitation standards, including temperature controls.
- 6Restock stations and organize supplies to keep the line ready.
- 7Put away deliveries and assist with additional duties as assigned.
- 8Cross-train across restaurant stations to support team agility.
Requirements8
- 11+ year experience in food service or customer-facing roles.
- 2Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 3Comfortable working near open flames and in varying temperatures.
- 4Dexterity to handle tongs, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- 5Must work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- 6Ability to bend, reach overhead, and work in tight spaces.
- 7Vision capabilities for close, distance, and peripheral tasks.
- 8May require sitting, squatting, and kneeling occasionally.
