As a Team Leader, you will supervise a team of 3-6 Community Support Specialists delivering community-based mental health services in Chicago. You will own case management duties alongside your team, leading by example while providing direct client care and clinical mentorship. You will coordinate care plans, drive clients to appointments, and connect them with vital resources. What You'll Do8
- 1Supervise a team of 3-6 Community Support Specialists to deliver high-quality community mental health services.
- 2Carry a small caseload, providing direct case management, including coordinating appointments and transportation.
- 3Guide clients in symptom management, teaching coping skills and building daily living competencies.
- 4Drive clients to medical, benefits, and grocery appointments using your personal vehicle.
- 5Lead weekly team meetings and individual supervision sessions, offering constructive feedback and coaching on billing targets.
- 6Collaborate with clients to create personalized recovery plans using harm reduction and trauma-informed care approaches.
- 7Establish and maintain community relationships to expand the program's resource network.
- 8Motivate staff through challenges, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented team environment.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of supervised clinical experience.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- 3Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with 2+ years of supervised clinical experience.
- 4Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- 5Valid driver's license, current car insurance, and a personal vehicle for daily use.
- 6Strong communication, teaching, and time management skills.
- 7Passion for mental health advocacy and adaptability to client and staff needs.
- 8Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
