Task Associate, Retail Stock & Merchandise Handling
Overview
You will own the flow of merchandise in and out of the stock area at our Kierland Commons store, ensuring every shipment processed and every display ready. You'll work with a tight-knit team of Task Associates and report directly to the Store Manager, keeping the back of house organized and the front of house fully stocked. Your role is the backbone of daily operations, directly impacting sales and customer satisfaction. You will also support visual directives and floorset processes, making this a hands-on, fast-moving role.
What You'll Do10
- 1Process all merchandise shipments upon arrival, checking against packing slips and reporting discrepancies to the Store Manager immediately.
- 2Fold, hang, and place all merchandise in the designated stock area, following store layout and visual standards.
- 3Maintain a constant awareness of stock levels on the sales floor, replenishing items as they sell to keep displays full.
- 4Prepare and process all customer shipments for delivery, ensuring accurate packing and labeling.
- 5Organize the stock area, including merchandise, supplies, and display materials, so everything has a place.
- 6Replenish supplies such as hangers, tags, and bags as requested by management.
- 7Handle cleaning and maintenance issues on the sales floor or in the stock room, reporting any problems to leadership.
- 8Complete all transfers, markdowns, and consolidations with precision, confirming accuracy in the system.
- 9Support the management team with inventory preparations and actively participate in the physical inventory count.
- 10Assist the visual team with floorset changes and implement visual directives to keep the store fresh and appealing.
Requirements7
- 11+ years in retail, preferably in a stock or merchandise handling role.
- 2Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a team environment.
- 3Excellent verbal and written English communication.
- 4Proven time management and project skills to juggle multiple tasks.
- 5Ability to recognize and adapt to changing work demands.
- 6Physical stamina to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- 7Capability to pack, unpack, and move stock, including lifting and carrying merchandise.
