What You'll Do8

  • 1Design system architectures and ensure integration across diverse platforms using AWS and Kubernetes.
  • 2Lead cross-functional teams through full lifecycle projects, managing timelines, budgets, and quality metrics.
  • 3Provide expert guidance on technical issues and enforce engineering best practices to enhance reliability and performance.
  • 4Identify and mitigate technical risks through analysis and planning, maintaining system resiliency in a Zero Trust environment.
  • 5Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.
  • 6Oversee system security, compliance, and data integrity for mission-critical systems.
  • 7Evaluate architectural designs for efficiency improvements and recommend updates to enterprise and mission architectures.
  • 8Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and strategies aligned with business and operational requirements.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field with 3+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year, or Doctoral degree with no experience for full performance level.
  • 2Senior level: Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years, Master's degree plus 5+ years, or Doctoral degree plus 3+ years.
  • 3Expert level: Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years, Master's degree plus 8+ years, or Doctoral degree plus 6+ years.
  • 4Degree program must be ABET accredited or include specified coursework in calculus and 5 of 18 engineering areas.
  • 5Relevant experience in engineering systems over their lifecycle (conception, design, testing, deployment, maintenance).
  • 6Technical knowledge in cybersecurity, SIGINT, telecommunications, or computer science.
  • 7Knowledge of system network architectures, frameworks, and enterprise standards.
  • 8Expertise in system design, architecture, and integration.
  • 9Familiarity with systems engineering practices, modeling and simulation, security design engineering, and test evaluation.
  • 10DAWIA certification required to be obtained within two years.
