Systems Engineer - NextGen Federal Systems
Overview
We seek a Systems Engineer to support DISA programs. The engineer will provide engineering integration administration and operational support for enterprise infrastructure and mission critical systems in a secure environment. This proactive role requires experience in systems architecture virtualization automation cybersecurity compliance and enterprise operations. The candidate will collaborate with government stakeholders cybersecurity teams and mission partners to ensure high availability performance and security. Clearance required: Active DOW/DoD Secret Clearance.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design implement maintain and optimize enterprise systems infrastructure supporting software factory/environment operations
- 2Engineer and administer Linux server environments in classified IL6 and unclassified IL5 networks
- 3Support cloud based platforms including AWS and Azure
- 4Develop and maintain system documentation architecture diagrams SOPs and operational procedures
- 5Perform systems monitoring troubleshooting performance tuning and root cause analysis
- 6Support patch management STIG compliance vulnerability remediation and RMF activities
- 7Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure compliance with DoD security requirements
- 8Automate system administration and operational tasks using PowerShell Bash Python or Ansible
- 9Support backup disaster recovery continuity of operations and high availability solutions
- 10Participate in system upgrades migrations and technology refresh initiatives
- 11Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy and process improvement initiatives
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or related field
- 24+ years of systems engineering or enterprise infrastructure experience
- 3Experience supporting DOW/DoD or federal government environments
- 4Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux AWS and Azure cloud environments
- 5Enterprise storage and backup technologies automation and scripting tools
- 6Systems monitoring and performance management knowledge
- 7Understanding of RMF STIGs ACAS and DoD cybersecurity policies
- 8Active Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification
- 9Active Secret clearance required
