Overview
Northrop Grumman seeks Systems Engineer – Level 2 and Level 3 to define integrate verify system-to-system interfaces across space architectures. Responsible for leading technical baseline ownership ensure end-to-end interoperability compliance manage stakeholder collaboration produce ICDs interface requirement specifications coordinate technical insertion synchronize mechanical electrical data RF software interfaces deliver clear technical communication to leadership customers and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Own technical definition and control of external interfaces for subsystems segments space ground cross-segment collaborate with engineering design teams
- 2Develop maintain baseline Interface Control Documents Interface Requirement Specifications configuration managed artifacts
- 3Decompose system-level requirements into interface requirements allocate to subsystems components
- 4Lead interface working groups design reviews technical interchange meetings
- 5Maintain Interfaces in DOORS Database drive documentation into Digital Transformation supporting insertions synchronize maturations
- 6Coordinate interface definition across mechanical electrical data RF software interfaces ensure consistency traceability
- 7Perform interface compatibility assessments margin analyses trades support architecture design decisions
- 8Support integration test planning develop test configurations procedures success criteria
- 9Investigate resolve interface issues during integration test anomaly triage corrective action recommendations
- 10Ensure interface design documentation align evolving requirements configuration changes customer constraints
- 11Contribute to risk identification mitigation external interfaces provide clear technical communication program leadership customers cross functional teams
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor degree STEM discipline with 2+ years engineering experience OR Master degree STEM discipline
- 2Active SCI at time of application
- 3Experience developing managing external interfaces interface documentation configuration control
- 4Familiarity with requirements management tools DOORS model based structured systems engineering practices
- 52+ years experience Systems Engineering or related technical discipline
- 6Understanding of systems engineering principles processes demonstrated written oral communications
- 7Preferred space systems programs experience interface standards customer partnership experience test procedure development integration testing Model Driven Systems Engineering languages SysML UML
- 8Excellent technical writing team building troubleshooting complex systems diverse team fast paced environment curiosity
