Systems Engineer 3 - MBSE & Cameo (San Diego)
Overview
You will own system architecture development for a defense program in San Diego, applying MBSE with Cameo and DOORS. You will work with a team of engineers to translate customer requirements into detailed specifications across the full product lifecycle. Your work directly impacts system design and verification for mission-critical systems. This role requires an active Secret clearance and offers hands-on work with cutting-edge systems engineering tools.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build system architecture models in Cameo using MBSE practices to capture system behavior and structure.
- 2Manage requirements in DOORS, tracing them from customer needs to system and component specifications.
- 3Conduct functional and trade-study analyses to evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions.
- 4Translate customer requirements into detailed, verifiable specifications for hardware and software components.
- 5Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure architecture aligns with system requirements and constraints.
- 6Support design reviews and present technical findings to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into models.
- 7Maintain configuration control of models and requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements7
- 15+ years applying MBSE in systems engineering roles.
- 2Proficiency with Cameo for architecture modeling.
- 3Experience using DOORS for requirements management.
- 4Active Secret clearance is required.
- 5Experience with functional and trade-study analysis.
- 6Background in defense or aerospace systems engineering.
- 7Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA.
