Overview

The role owns vulnerability identification and countermeasure development for complex systems at scale. You will analyze attack techniques and produce reports and briefings on actual or potential attacks. You may travel occasionally to CONUS/OCONUS locations. You will work with red team activities, network analysis, and MITRE ATT&CK based detections to mitigate threats.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Build formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives on attacks against systems or missions
  • 2Design and compare countermeasures for various system attack techniques to improve operational resilience
  • 3Produce analyses that link vulnerabilities to operational impacts on missions
  • 4Own the collection and analysis of data from multiple sources to identify malicious or unauthorized activity
  • 5Lead or support red team activities and provide exploitation or investigation insights to enable mitigation
  • 6Ship security assessments and recommendations that influence system engineering and development teams

Requirements10

  • 1Doctoral degree with 4 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6 years or Bachelor’s with 8 years or Associate’s with 10 years
  • 2Degree in Computer Science or related field (e.g. General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Cyber Security, Information Assurance)
  • 3Red Team experience is required
  • 4Experience with network analysis and anomaly detection and familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • 5Zero Trust experience related to CNE/CNO and network infrastructure is a plus
  • 6Blue or Purple team experience is a plus
  • 7Certification Requirements: Information Assurance Certification may be required
  • 8Willingness to travel occasionally and work on-site in Washington, DC
  • 9Ability to analyze media captures and security incidents to derive actionable intelligence
  • 10Knowledge of computer/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, forensics, or systems engineering
