Supply Chain Manager, Manufacturing & Procurement
Overview
You will own end-to-end supply chain for KLINGER GPI's three Texas locations, ensuring manufacturing and distribution receive materials on time. You will lead sourcing, procurement, inventory, and supplier performance to hit cost and service targets. You will partner with Operations, Sales, and Finance to align supply plans with production. This role stands out because you will drive continuous improvement across a fluid sealing manufacturer with an accredited calibration facility.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead sourcing strategies for domestic and international suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance.
- 2Direct demand planning and forecasting to optimize inventory levels and reduce working capital.
- 3Partner with Operations to align supply plans with production schedules and customer commitments.
- 4Establish metrics and reporting for supply chain performance, driving continuous improvement actions.
- 5Review open purchase orders and supplier commitments daily to identify and resolve potential shortages.
- 6Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to synchronize purchasing with demand.
- 7Analyze inventory data and purchasing trends to improve inventory turns and cut costs.
- 8Communicate with suppliers on pricing, delivery, and quality to ensure critical materials arrive on time.
Requirements7
- 15+ years progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management in manufacturing or distribution.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3Management experience with strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
- 4Proven track record of managing supplier performance and negotiating contracts.
- 5Experience with demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
- 6Ability to use ERP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
- 7Strong problem-solving skills to resolve supply issues before they impact operations.
