What You'll Do10
- 1Direct daily on-site supervision of the field labor force, ensuring productivity and safety.
- 2Inspect contractor and subcontractor operations to verify contract compliance.
- 3Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with the Project Manager.
- 4Maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, and engineers.
- 5Develop and maintain site logistics, work plans, safety procedures (JHAs), and quality plans with the Project Manager.
- 6Conduct quality inspections and coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- 7Monitor costs, including labor hours and material usage, to stay within budget.
- 8Manage schedules, including detailed short-term and look-ahead schedules (2/4/6-week).
- 9Prepare and submit Superintendent's Daily Reports and attend project meetings.
- 10Supervise project engineers and field engineers to ensure coordination.
Requirements9
- 110+ years of heavy mechanical construction experience.
- 2Familiarity with terms and conditions of project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- 3Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications across disciplines.
- 4Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- 5Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Strong leadership qualities and decision-making skills.
- 7Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- 8Safety-oriented mindset and commitment to an injury-free environment.
- 9Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, DOB SST, DOB Superintendent license.
