What You'll Do8
- 1Design and analyze structural systems for nuclear energy facilities using AutoCAD and structural analysis tools.
- 2Develop construction documentation and specifications for structural components, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
- 3Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
- 4Perform structural calculations and verify designs through hand calculations and software models.
- 5Support project execution by coordinating with vendors and contractors during construction phases.
- 6Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve safety and efficiency.
- 7Contribute to modifications and design changes for existing nuclear plants, ensuring operational integrity.
- 8Document lessons learned and best practices to enhance future project delivery.
Requirements7
- 1ABET-accredited degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 20-1 years of experience, with internships highly preferred.
- 3Exposure to concrete and steel design principles.
- 4Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD.
- 5Interest in the nuclear power industry and commitment to safety.
- 6Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborative design environments.
- 7Ability to work onsite in Naperville, IL with hybrid flexibility.
