What You'll Do11
- 1Perform structural engineering tasks in design analysis and specification preparation for concrete and steel projects
- 2Design and modify industrial structures and systems independently
- 3Interface with customers suppliers and construction teams throughout project lifecycle
- 4Apply engineering principles and adapt techniques with professional judgment
- 5Create conceptual and detailed design documentation including calculations drawings and specifications
- 6Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to develop comprehensive construction plans
- 7Analyze risks considering costs regulations and environmental factors
- 8Specify appropriate building materials and review third party submissions
- 9Present technical findings to colleagues for standard implementation
- 10Calculate material takeoffs and cost estimates for feasibility assessments
- 11Maintain compliance with applicable codes and industry standards
Requirements8
- 15+ years experience in structural steel and concrete engineering
- 2Engineer in Training Certification and pursuing Professional Engineer licensure
- 3Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution
- 4Proficiency with AutoCAD NavisWorks STAAD SPMats Enercalc BlueBeam RISA and other relevant software
- 5Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- 6Permanent work authorization for any US employer
- 7Experience with large power generation and industrial projects
- 8Excellent problem solving abilities
