Structural Design Engineer - Dallas, TX
Overview
Lead the design of safe durable and sustainable shade solutions for public spaces recreational areas and outdoor commercial properties. Apply structural engineering expertise combined with outdoor functionality aesthetics and design to create innovative shade systems. This role involves consulting on and engineering large steel and fabric structures for manufacturing and construction.
What You'll Do5
- 1Utilize engineering principles analysis and mathematics to perform structural calculations for steel and concrete elements foundations and cable configurations for tensile structures.
- 2Create detailed drawings and bills of materials as required for prototype and production builds.
- 3Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- 4Support planning and execution of shade structure installations.
- 5Travel to support field installations and address technical issues.
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering Design.
- 2Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- 3Knowledge of 3D modeling and analysis applications such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
- 4Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 5Minimum 3-5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
