Overview
OpenX seeks a Staff Data Scientist to lead data science across multiple teams. This role owns technical direction for large-scale ad marketplaces and drives ML systems that deliver value across screens. You will solve complex marketplace problems and shape technical standards.
What You'll Do11

- 10Communicate technical strategy to senior leadership
- 11Drive data science roadmap for product areas
Requirements11
- 1Ph.D. in Data Science or related field with 6+ years experience; OR M.S./B.S. with 8+ years and proven leadership
- 2Deep expertise in deep learning and modern ML toolkit
- 3Strong Python and SQL skills with TensorFlow or PyTorch experience
- 4Experience with cloud platforms GCP Vertex AI or AWS
- 5Familiarity with ML pipelines using TFX Kubeflow or Airflow
- 6Track record of delivering production-grade ML systems at scale
- 7Expertise in causal inference or experimentation design
- 8Experience with digital media advertising marketplaces or auction systems
- 9Proficiency in Java Go and other programming languages
- 10Background in technical standards development beyond single team
- 11Demonstrated ability to represent data science in cross-functional forums
