What You'll Do12
- 1Perform daily accounting functions including accurate recording of cash receipts and invoice entry
- 2Process weekly vendor payments via ACH and checks
- 3Oversee monthly student billing and statement generation
- 4Respond to student billing and vendor inquiries professionally
- 5Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations
- 6Monitor restricted gifts endowment funds and grant expenditures per non-profit standards
- 7Collaborate with Advancement Office for monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- 8Ensure compliance with internal controls and GAAP
- 9Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- 10Prepare documentation for annual financial audits and regulatory filings
- 11Manage vendor management including W-9 collection and 1099 processing
- 12Serve as primary resource for faculty regarding financial policies and procurement procedures
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 2-5 years professional experience
- 2Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and Microsoft Office suite
- 3Familiarity with Google Zoom Teams and accounting software like QuickBooks Senior Systems Veracross Ramp
- 4Ability to handle sensitive student parent and employee information confidentially
- 5Strong communication skills for building relationships with families vendors and faculty
- 6Experience in independent school or non-profit environments preferred
- 7Growth mindset proactive approach to learning new systems
