Staff Accountant, Sage 50 & Financial Reporting in Boston Area
Overview
The Staff Accountant will own month-end close processes and financial reporting for a growing finance team at Blueport. You will work on recurring and non-recurring journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reporting, and ad hoc analyses in a collaborative, on-site role in Walpole, MA. What You'll Do9
- 1Build and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries in Sage 50
- 2Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- 3Generate monthly financial reports for management
- 4Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
- 5Manage daily cash reporting and assist with cash flow forecasting
- 6Participate in weekly finance meetings to review cash needs and performance
- 7Support financial analysis, reporting, special projects, and ad hoc requests
- 8Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- 9Assist with administrative duties and other accounting projects as needed
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- 21-3 years of accounting experience preferred
- 3Experience with ERP systems; Sage 50 experience is a plus
- 4Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- 5Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- 6Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- 7High attention to detail and accuracy
- 8Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- 9Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- 10Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
