Staff Accountant, GAAP & ERP Automation in Los Angeles
Overview
Own month-end close, general ledger, and reporting for a manufacturing organization in LA. You’ll work with Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, Cost Accounting, and IT to drive finance automation and ERP improvements. Expect practical use of Excel, ERP systems, and AI-enabled workflows to speed and clean financial processes. This role blends traditional GL work with process improvements and system enhancements that scale.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build, lead, and execute month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations to deliver accurate financial statements.
- 2Maintain general ledger activity in the ERP system and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- 3Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and account analyses.
- 4Identify internal control gaps and implement process improvements to boost reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- 5Build, enhance, and support finance automation workflows using AI tools, Excel automation, Power Automate, or similar technologies.
- 6Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, Cost Accounting, and IT on ERP upgrades and new system implementations to drive efficiency.
