Overview
The Staff Accountant will own the payroll and equity transaction close process, ensuring accurate month‑end results. You will collaborate with cross‑functional partners to deliver high‑visibility corporate finance tasks. This role provides exposure to payroll, equity, and compensation reporting while supporting strategic budgeting initiatives.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead the month‑end close process for payroll and equity transactions analyzing accruals reviewing P&L activity and explaining variances
- 2Prepare monthly cash and non‑cash reconciliations in BlackLine for payroll and equity transactions within payroll bank accounts and related general ledger accounts
- 3Assist with payroll year‑end reconciliations including W‑2 reconciliations
- 4Partner with Head Office Accounting to analyze salary and wage items on a monthly basis
- 5Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for Corporate Office compensation
- 6Help prepare annual salary increase files for the Corporate Office
- 7Maintain SOX compliance and support internal and external audit requests
- 8Maintain executive compensation contracts and payroll schedules
- 9Collaborate with Finance HR Payroll and Accounting teams to support compensation initiatives
- 10Provide ad‑hoc project support and financial analyses for senior management
- 11Ensure all accounting processes align with regulatory standards and company policies
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 21+ years of accounting or finance experience
- 3Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- 4Experience with Workday HCM/Financials preferred
- 5Prior exposure to payroll or compensation accounting preferred
- 6Public accounting experience preferred
- 7Ability to work effectively under pressure managing multiple projects simultaneously
- 8Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary Insight
$70 - $78k per year
