Staff Accountant
Overview
Lead and manage full cycle of Accounts Payable for a biotechnology company focused on blood cancer therapies. Oversee vendor payments, expense amortization, and compliance with financial policies. Support audit readiness and coordinate tax reporting.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage three-way matching and invoice processing for AP cycles
- 2Prepare monthly journal entries for prepaid expenses including insurance and software subscriptions
- 3Maintain accurate prepaid expense schedules and reconcile accounts
- 4Support Sunshine Act reporting and verify T&E report accuracy
- 5Prepare journal entries and schedules for month-end close processes
- 6File state and federal tax returns and coordinate 1099 reporting
- 7Collaborate with internal teams to resolve expense discrepancies
- 8Analyze financial data to improve accounting workflows
- 9Ensure regulatory compliance for payroll and expense management
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or related field with 5+ years of biotech accounting experience
- 2Proven expertise in accounts payable and prepaid expense management
- 3Strong knowledge of ERP systems NetSuite Bill.com Concur and Microsoft Excel
- 4Experience with tax filing and audit preparation in regulated industries
- 5Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with accountability and cross-functional collaboration
