SSOC Operator, Security Systems Monitoring
Overview
You will monitor and support SSOC operations in Washington DC, ensuring continuous compliance with physical security requirements. You will execute established alarm and event response workflows, document incidents accurately, and coordinate with the Site Lead. This role demands a sharp eye for detail and the ability to act decisively under pressure. You will maintain situational awareness and escalate issues promptly. What You'll Do7
- 1Monitor security systems and alarms within the SSOC during assigned operating windows.
- 2Execute alarm and event response procedures according to policies and standard operating procedures.
- 3Document, track, and report security incidents, alarms, and system events in a timely and accurate manner.
- 4Support compliance with physical access control and monitoring requirements across the facility.
- 5Coordinate with the Site Lead to support staffing adjustments and operational continuity.
- 6Maintain situational awareness and immediately escalate security or operational issues per protocols.
- 7Perform other duties as assigned in support of SSOC operations.
Requirements8
- 12-3 years of experience in security operations, alarm monitoring, or a comparable security operations center.
- 2Knowledge of physical security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and alarm monitoring platforms.
- 3Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable client specific adjudication.
- 4US Citizenship required.
- 5Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
- 6HS Diploma or equivalent.
- 7Skill in accurately documenting security incidents and system events.
- 8Ability to clearly communicate security events and operational issues, both verbally and in written reports.
