Overview
The Sr Staff Engineer leads design and scaling of CI/CD infrastructure and verification systems for Qualcomm’s AI Software stack. You will build large‑scale automated pipelines integrate embedded hardware test execution and drive target‑based regression infrastructure. This role offers a unique blend of software and hardware focus delivering high‑signal validation at scale.
What You'll Do16
- 1Architect and scale large‑distributed CI/CD systems with high throughput and low flakiness
- 2Design automated workflows build package deploy flash run log‑collection triage dashboarding
- 3Develop scheduling orchestration layers for thousands of HW‑based regression tests
- 4Implement monitoring telemetry and automated mitigation for CI stability
- 5Develop embedded target test frameworks across DSP/NPU platforms
- 6Automate flashing provisioning power/reset and new chipset bring‑up processes
- 7Design hardware‑in‑loop validation for stability thermal long‑run correctness and performance
- 8Own coverage strategy for throughput correctness memory behavior and runtime scheduling
- 9Create automated triage signals and failure classification systems to eliminate flakiness
- 10Maintain CI/verification pipelines for internal and open‑source projects
- 11Enforce PR gating reproducible builds artifact management and API correctness
- 12Influence DevOps firmware and platform teams using data‑driven insights
- 13Lead technical deep‑dives on CI and embedded HW failures
- 14Align infrastructure capabilities with program milestones and customer requirements
- 15Produce high‑quality documentation for CI architecture HW frameworks and best practices
- 16Drive continuous improvement and streamline reproducible HW testing workflows
Requirements13
- 110+ years in CI/CD engineering verification embedded systems or runtime/toolchain development
- 2Expertise designing scaling CI/CD Buildkite Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions
- 3Deep experience integrating embedded hardware into automated pipelines
- 4Background in firmware flashing device provisioning power/reset automation and board‑farm debugging
- 5Strong scripting programming in Python Bash C/C++
- 6Experience maintaining open‑source verification pipelines
- 7Ability to debug across runtime driver inference layers
- 8Familiarity with Qualcomm AI stack QNN QAIRT SNPE
- 9Experience with heterogeneous compute validation DSP GPU CPU NPU
- 10Background in silicon bring‑up or hardware‑in‑loop systems
- 11Proven track record of large device‑farm operation and automation
- 12Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
- 13Master’s degree in same field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR PhD with 4+ years
