Overview
SQL Server and SSRS expert will own reporting for a public safety agency with CJIS standards at scale. You will work on the records management environment in a long-term contract through mid-2028, with hybrid on-site and remote collaboration. You will join a team that supports multiple bureaus, gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders. This role is differentiated by strict data governance and security requirements and a need for hands-on performance tuning and report delivery.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and optimize SSRS reports for multiple bureaus delivering timely insights
- 2Design and deploy secure T-SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting needs
- 3Troubleshoot query, dataset, and data-integrity issues and implement robust data validation
- 4Develop, test, and deploy reports in a CJIS-compliant environment with documented workflows and permissions
- 5Gather reporting requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate them into scalable solutions
- 6Administer SQL Server permissions for SSRS folders and reports to enforce access controls
- 7Work closely with teams to implement data governance standards and maintain audit trails
- 8Document changes, configurations, and reporting processes for long-term maintainability
- 9Collaborate with Premier One RMS and other data sources to integrate large datasets
- 10Maintain a high level of data quality while supporting production reporting needs
Requirements10
- 1Currently living in the Phoenix metro area and listed city on resume
- 2Authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future
- 3W2 only, no C2C
- 4Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills including T-SQL and permissions administration
- 5Strong SSRS experience in report design, deployment, and management
- 6Experience administering SSRS folder and report permissions within a secure environment
- 7Ability to develop and optimize queries, stored procedures, and database objects
- 8Experience gathering requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 9Familiarity with CJIS data governance and security standards
- 10Premier One RMS experience and large-dataset work in public safety or enterprise settings (preferred)
