Speech Language Pathologist, School-Based SLP in Phoenix
Overview
Own speech and language therapy services for K–12 students in a school setting with IVP goals and collaboration. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to improve communication skills and access education. Work with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team to maximize outcomes and ensure IEP alignment. This role emphasizes hands-on clinical work, supervision of SLPAs where applicable, and ongoing professional development.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build formalized and dynamic assessments to determine eligibility and level of functioning
- 2Design and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members
- 3Deliver direct speech therapy services aligned with IEP goals
- 4Complete and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in annual and triennial reviews
- 5Consult with teachers and families to support generalization of communication skills
- 6Maintain accurate therapy notes, assessment data, and progress documentation
- 7Supervise and support SLPAs including monitoring supervision hours
- 8Ensure all services meet school-based standards and district policies
- 9Collaborate to optimize student outcomes across caseloads
Requirements5
- 1Must have current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain
- 2DOJ FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance
- 3Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- 4Excellent written and verbal communication
- 5One year of experience in speech therapy (preferred)
