What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver direct speech-language therapy to individuals and small groups to meet IEP goals
- 2Design and implement IEP goals and monitor progress with data-driven adjustments
- 3Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to support student communication needs
- 4Evaluate speech, language, and articulation issues through assessments and progress monitoring
- 5Document accurately and timely in school systems and progress reports
- 6Consult with school staff on AAC, articulation, language, and fluency strategies
- 7Attend IEP, eligibility, reevaluation, and interdisciplinary team meetings
- 8Manage a defined caseload with documentation and administrative tasks
- 9Support teachers with classroom strategies to promote communication within the school day
- 10Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology
Requirements10
- 1Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- 2Active Texas SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- 3ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or CF-SLP with supervision available
- 4Experience with school-based settings preferred
- 5Knowledge of IEP process, assessment, and progress monitoring
- 6Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- 7Proficiency with technology for documentation, assessment, and service delivery
- 8Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
- 9Ability to work on-site in Houston, Texas
- 10Comfort collaborating with families, educators, and therapy teams
